Sarnia man charged with murder after woman, believed to be Christine Adamson, found dead

A 47-year-old Sarnia man has been arrested and charged with first-degree murder following the death of a woman, believed to be Christine Adamson, who was reported missing earlier this week.

In a news release issued Friday evening, Sarnia Police say a deceased female believed to be Adamson, 47, was located in her residence in the 700 block of Roger Street.

A post-mortem will take place in London, Saturday.

As result of the investigation, Michael Robert Adamson was taken into custody and will appear in court Oct. 21, facing a first-degree murder charge.

“The Sarnia Police Service would like to thank the community for its assistance with this investigation,” the release noted.

Adamson had first been reported missing Wednesday, and shortly after, the Sarnia Police Criminal Investigations Unit took over the case.
