Sarnia’s largest summer festival returns this weekend with tonnes of free stuff happening on the waterfront.

The 6th annual International Powerboat Festival is expected to draw 30,000 for live music, kid-friendly activities and, of course, the boat races.

Below is a lineup of events:

Friday, August 12th

4:00pm – 8:00pm      Boat Displays (Incl. Miss Supertest)

6:00pm – 8:00pm       Sponsor “Get Launched” Party

8:00pm – 1:00am      Ticketed Concert: Monster Truck plus special guests The Down River Band

Saturday, August 13th

11:00am – 3:00pm    Kid’s Zone - Painting Workshop with Sarnia artist Gary Nixon

11:00am – 6:00pm         Kid’s Zone - Inflatables

11:00am – 6:00pm    Craft/Art/Food Vendors

11:00am – 6:00pm    Kid’s Zone - Face Painting with The Painted Cat

11:00am – 6:00pm   Boat Displays (Incl. Miss Supertest)

11:00am – 6:00pm    Wakeboard Demonstrations + Winch Jam

11:00am – 6:00pm   Street Performers and Buskers

11:00am – 7:00pm    Beverage Tents along the waterfront

Race heats and timing depend on number of last minute boat entries, ship traffic, and weather conditions.
