The Sarnia Sting’s historic playoff run came to an end after a 5-1 loss to the London Knights who became Western Conference champions at the Progressive Auto Sales Arena, Sunday.

Sarnia opened the scoring for the fifth consecutive game, with a goal from Marcus Limper-Lantz, but that would be the Sting's only goal of the game. Denver Barkey fired back for the Knights with just one second to go in the first period.

Easton Cowan opened the second period with a goal to put the Knights up 2-1, followed by another from Logan Mailloux to make it 3-1.

Ryan Humphrey and Ryan Winterton (empty net) scored in the third for the 5-1 final.

The Knights will move on to the OHL championship series to compete for the J. Robertson Cup, for the first time since 2016.
