Peacefully on April 14, 2024, at her Albany home in Petrolia, Goldie Rae Joy (nee Fowke), passed away at the age of 90. Beloved wife to the late Ken Joy (2018) for 65 years. Loving mother to Jim (Pat) Joy, Larry (Barb) Joy, Cindy (Lyle) Mitchell, and Garth (Carolyn) Joy. Proud grandma “Goldie” to Ryan (Katie) Joy, Travis Joy, Wendy (Curt) Reeve, Ashley Joy (Curtis), Kassie (Brandon) Campbell, Brad Harwood (Andrew), Scott Harwood (Michael), Chad (Amy) Harwood, and Baylee Joy (Perez) and great grandma to 10. Dear sister to Glen (the late Eileen) Fowke, Claire (Don) Page, predeceased by her siblings, Lois (Bill) Bradley, June (Norm) Morris, and Gwen (Ernie) James. Sister-in-law to Frances (the late Bill Tripp) Tillsonburg. Also predeceased by her parents, Frederick and Gladys Fowke her in-laws Walter and Ellen Joy, Frank Joy, Lloyd Joy, Dorothy Hogan, and Alma McIntosh. Goldie will be missed by many nieces, nephews, and cousins. Special thank you to Kelly Ferris for her friendship and care. The family would also like to thank Albany Retirement Village for their outstanding care. A private family service will take place.
