Mooretown boys take gold at International Silver Stick

The Mooretown Junior Flags U15 “C” team won gold at the International Silver Stick tournament in South Huron over the weekend, after a 2-1 victory over the hometown South Huron Sabres in the championship matchup.

The Mooretown Junior Flags U15 “C” team won gold at the International Silver Stick tournament in South Huron over the weekend, after a 2-1 victory over the hometown South Huron Sabres in the championship matchup.

The team opened the tournament with a 2-2 tie against the Mid-Huron Huskies, a 3-3 tie to the Strathroy Jr. Rockets and a 4-0 win over the Mt. Brydges Cougars. They moved on to an 2-1 semi-final overtime win vs. the Mitchell Meteors, earning a spot in the gold medal game.
