A man was arrested following a series of threatening phone calls made to Sarnia schools on Nov. 14

For about 45 minutes, the caller contacted various schools, both public and Catholic, and directed offensive and profanity-filled language at the person answering the phone, Sarnia Police said.

Neither students nor staff were deemed to be in danger.

Police determined the calls originated in the Toronto area, and a 28-year-old Toronto man was arrested the following day and brought to Sarnia by city police for a court hearing.

The man faces five counts of criminal harassment and 11 counts of uttering threats.
