Legionnaires win on home ice

After a pair of one-goal setbacks on home ice to start the Greater Ontario Junior Hockey League season, the Sarnia Legionnaires hit the win column at the Brock Street Barn with a 4-2 win over Lambton Shores last week.

Jacob Stos' goal at 17:03 of the third period snapped a 2-2 tie and proved to be the game-winner.

Former Mooretown Flag Brandon Layman added an empty net goal as an insurance marker in the final minute of the third period. It was his second of the game.

Hunter Tyczynski also scored for Sarnia.

The Legionnaires host Strathroy on Oct. 8 at 7:10 pm.
