Larviciding begins for West Nile control

Published on

Conservation workers are hitting street catch basins with larvicide pellets to kill mosquito larvae and limit the spread of West Nile virus.

The St. Clair Region Conservation Authority has been contracted by Lambton County to apply larvicide throughout the summer and reduce mosquito populations.

Drivers are reminded to watch for employees treating catch basins.

Local residents are also encouraged to remove stagnant water on their property.
