One of the most recognizable faces in Canadian journalism is visiting Sarnia next month as part of an event raising funds for a local literacy program.

Linden MacIntyre, former co-host of the CBC's award-winning current affairs program The Fifth Estate, will appear at the Sarnia Library Auditorium on Nov. 11 at 7 p.m. for this year's Showcase Literacy event, hosted by the Organization for Literacy in Lambton in partnership with The Book Keeper and Lambton County Libraries.

Tickets are $25, with all funds raised supporting the OLL's free children's literacy program.

MacIntyre left the iconic investigative program earlier this year in what he said was an attempt to spare other colleagues from sizeable job cuts at the public broadcaster.
