Former SLEP manager wins provincial award

The former general manager of the Sarnia-Lambton Economic Partnership has received a provincial honour.

The former general manager of the Sarnia-Lambton Economic Partnership has received a provincial honour.

George Mallay was named the winner of a Life Sciences Ontario Community Service Award, one of four granted this year for outstanding contributions to the success of Ontario’s life sciences sector.

Mallay was the manager at SLEP for 21 years and played a key role in establishing the Western Sarnia-Lambton Research and Development Park.

He was also a board member of Bioindustrial Innovation Canada and helped form the Sarnia-Lambton Industrial Alliance.

Mallay retired in June.
