The Makerspace at Sarnia Library had added a Design Centre featuring technologies and software programs people might not be able to purchase on their own.
The Design Centre includes a 3D scanner to allow duplicates of an object to be made on a 3D printer, a Wabcom Tablet that makes a digital copy of drawings done by hand, a new green screen and audio visual equipment, and an Adobe Creative Cloud software package.
“There is a demand for this type of technology from the public, especially young people who enjoy creative works,” said Vanitia Campbell, children’s coordinator of Makerspace.
To use the centre you need a library card and a reservation.
