Downtown decks the halls for next First Friday walkabout

The holiday edition of First Friday arrives in Sarnia’s downtown Dec. 6 bringing with it the sights and sounds of Christmas.

The a cappella quartet Resolution will add to the evening’s festive mood by singing in various spots throughout, and The Nightingale Chorus performs in the lobby of the Imperial Theatre from, 6:30 p.m. to 8 p.m.

Judith & Norman Alix Art Gallery - 147 Lochiel St. - 6:30 - 8:30 p.m. Live music, and 15-minute on-demand Red Dot Tours of exhibits. Opening of Inspirational Moments show.

Coffee Culture - 130 Lochiel St. – 7 p.m. - 9:30 p.m. - Live music.

Artopia Gallery & Framing - 188 Christina St N – 6 p.m. – 9 p.m. Live painting by Victoria Thomas, and new acrylic paintings by Joyce Iacono.  Donated coats accepted for those in need.

theStory - 179 Christina St N  - 6 p.m. - 9 p.m. Hosting Art Therapy, a silent auction of donated works by local artists supporting Sarnia Speaks. Live painting by Laura Kreviazuk, music, and cash bar.

Themptations - 180 Christina St. N – 6 p.m. - 9 p.m. - Make your own hemp jewelry with Lynn. $5 per person.

Parallel Junction - 176 Christina St. N. - open until 9 p.m. Works by more than 40 artists and artisans.

Petite a la Carte  - 170 Christina Street N. Art by Bill Walters, Lynne Brogden and Chantal Simon.

Downtown Market - 140 Christina St. N. 4 p.m. – 9 p.m. Christmas Market.

Cheeky Monkey - 130 Christina St. N – 7 p.m. - 9 p.m. Eclectic Christmas: music by Karen Morand, readings by short story writer John Gardiner, art show by Bill Walters.

Silhouettes Boutique - 125 Christina St. N - Open House with Christmas cheer until 9 p.m.

Cowboys & Indians - 121 Christina St. N - Open until 9 p.m. Works by local First Nations artists.

100 Christina St. - 6 p.m. - 10:30 p.m. - Christmas Market and 30 vendors featuring food, artisans, local wine & beer. Door donations & $1 from beverage sales to Sexual Assault Survivors' Centre.

The Lawrence House Centre for the Arts - 127 Christina St. S. – 6 p.m. – 9 p.m. Gift-oriented art exhibition opening. Launch of graphic novel, The Lambton Swamp Phantom and the Treasure of the Griffon, A Mickey Maple Story. Seasonal acoustic guitar by Colin Graf.

River Bank & Co. - 172 Front Street N. – 6 p.m.- 9 p.m. Holiday celebration with original art by Trevor Jamieson and Laura McCann, new Prints by Cathy Earle, Peach & Clementine. Live music at 7 p.m. by Bil Eldridge.
