A stage will be set up on a closed block of Davis Street for an evening of live local music on May 6.

The Do it for Sarnia event is a fundraiser for the Bluewater Health Foundation in collaboration with the Do it for Dan campaign.

The licensed event in front of the Refined Fool Brewery is being co-organized by motivational speaker Dan Edward. This is the 10th anniversary of Do it for Dan, a campaign in which the community raised $150,000 for Edwards after he was paralyzed in an accident.

“The event has the potential to not only raise funds but also to promote the efforts that Dan Edwards is making to give back to his community,” said the Foundation’s Adelle Stewardson.

City Hall has agreed to close the street and grant a noise bylaw exemption for the show, which will feature live local musicians from 5 p.m. to 11 p.m.
