Bright’s Grove’s Laura Dally has capped an incredible year with a victory at the Canadian University national basketball championship.
Dally paced the Saskatchewan Huskies with 25 points in defeating the Ryerson Rams 85-71 for the title, and was named Saskatchewan’s player of the game.
The Northern Collegiate grad was earlier named Outstanding Player of the Year in women’s basketball by the Canada West Universities Athletic Association.
The six-foot guard led the Huskies to an 18-2 record and a Pioneer Conference title this season.
Last July she was part of the national development squad that won silver at the World University Games in South Korea.
