Core heads to Laurier

Published on

Zach Core won’t be back with the Sarnia Sting this season.

The veteran rearguard has been recruited to play Canadian University hockey with the Waterloo-based Laurier Golden Hawks.

The 20-year-old blueliner played 181 games over parts of four seasons in Sarnia where he registered three goals and 25 assists.

The Woodstock-area product was selected by the Sting in the 11th round of the OHL Priority Selection in 2012.
