Company selected for new Sarnia-to-London bus service

A company has been chosen to provide a new inter-city bus service between Sarnia, Strathroy and London.

A company has been chosen to provide a new inter-city bus service between Sarnia, Strathroy and London.

Voyago, formerly known as Voyageur Transportation, will begin taking passengers in April with three round trips daily and two weekend round trips planned.

The fully accessible buses will seat 20 to 25 passengers, according to a joint release from the company and three cities involved.

Ontario’s Ministry of Transportation is funding the program until March of 2023. Route, scheduling and fare details are expected soon.

Voyago currently serves about 50,000 passengers a day in Ontario using transit, charter and patient transfer vehicles.

Sarnia Mayor Mike Bradley said he hopes the busses can be scheduled to connect with VIA Rail and local transit.

“To do that successfully means engaging rail and transportation advocacy groups across Southwestern Ontario and the citizens using the service,” he said.
