Sarnia’s annual park clean-up day returns on April 27.
Volunteers are invited to assemble a crew and tackle a park or trail space for the 5th community park clean up day from 10 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
Participants will be given a kit that includes gloves, garbage bags, sharps container and first aid kit. Volunteers can also join the clean-up at Canatara Park.
Interpretive walks, composting demonstrations and tree planting are also planned for Canatara, led by the Sarnia Environmental Advisory Committee. A free barbecue will follow.

At last year’s event, 25 park spaces were registered and volunteers gathered over 900 bags of trash, recyclables, leaves and compost, as well as four truckloads of brush.
