The city is looking into ways to increase safety by installing a crosswalk where Exmouth Streets intersects with the Howard Watson Nature Trail.

A midblock pedestrian crossing would combine pavement markings and signs and give pedestrians and cyclists a safer way to cross the street, which can see 10,800 cars during the busiest eight-hour period, city staff says.

The province recommends midblock pedestrian where traffic volume exceeds 7,500 cars over eight hours.
