Knives. Syringes. Full cans of beer.
Security officers confiscated hundreds of items from people trying to pass through the metal detector at the Lambton County Courthouse over the past year, Sarnia Police say.
Other items seized for safety reasons include screwdrivers, box cutters, cap guns, handgun-shaped lighters, scissors and pieces of a lawn mower blade.
Police are reminding visitors to leave such items at home.
