Road construction has required organizers of Canada Day in Bright’s Grove to change this year’s parade route.
Assembly will begin Saturday, June 22 at 10:30 a.m. at Lakeshore Church, the corner of Marion and Old Lakeshore Road. The parade will then proceed down Marion Street to James Street East, and then circle Kenwick Park.
The festivities, including entertainment, carnival rides and food, take place at Kenwick Park and run from noon to 3 p.m.
The Bright’s Grove Optimist beer garden opens at 6:30 p.m. and Scott Manery & the Barnburners take the stage at 7 p.m. for a free concert.
In the event of bad weather, the parade will be cancelled. Other activities may go ahead, depending on the weather.
