A new bridge will be built this year over Perch Creek on Telfer Road, between Confederation and Churchill lines.
The city has awarded a $1.23-million bridge replacement contract to Premier Concrete, which is based in Londesborough, Ont.
The span was identified in a 2016 engineering report as an “urgent priority.”
Telfer Road will be temporarily closed and detour signs erected while the work is underway.
