Two of the Bluewater Boxing Club’s best amateurs took to the ring in Brantford recently and both scored unanimous decision victories.

Josh Jablonsky, 16, improved his record to 2-0 by defeating a Branford fighter in a back-and-forth tilt.

And Dylan Taylor, 21, used his quickness to defeat an Oshawa boxer in a unanimous decision.

Despite his young age, Taylor has now competed in 63 amateur matches.

His next one will take place in Puerto Rico later this month when he represents Canada at the Angel ‘Cholo’ Espada Cup.

Jablonsky and fellow Bluewater athlete Kaitlyn Clark, a three-time Ontario champion, will attend the Ontario Bronze Gloves tournament in Toronto on June 1-3.

Club boxers will also be at Canatara Park on May 26 teaching boxing techniques at the annual Noelle’s Gift of Fitness event.
