Birthday money for Centennial Park?

Published on

The Sarnia park created to celebrate Canada’s 100th birthday could be in line for federal funding set aside to celebrate the nation’s 150th.

Centennial Park is currently being remediated and redesigned, a project that will include a new playground, pathways and garden beds, picnic tables and infrastructure services.

The city is applying for $836,000 under the Canada 150 infrastructure grant program.

Another $166,000 is being sought from the fund to make the doors, change rooms and washrooms at Clearwater Arena more accessible.
