The Judith & Norman Alix Art Gallery in downtown Sarnia remains closed to the public until the Masterworks of the Beaverbrook Art Galley exhibition opens on Oct. 2.

Staff are preparing gallery space and working with volunteers on special events and programs planned for this fall and winter, Lambton County said.

Regular gallery programs are also on hold.

The touring Beaverbrook exhibition is one of most ambitious cultural undertakings ever attempted in Lambton County and features 75 paintings by Salvador Dali, Henri Matisse and Cornelius Krieghoff among many others.
