The Northern Vikings senior boys’ football team emerged victorious on the road last week in its LKSSAA season opener.
The Vikings downed Chatham Kent 21 – 6, while St. Patrick’s came up short in its tilt with Wallaceburg, losing 10 – 7.
The Great Lakes Wolfpack season began with a blowout, falling 44 -1 to Ursuline College.
Great Lakes hosts Northern on Thursday, Oct. 4 at 1 p.m., and St. Pat’s host Chatham-Kent Friday at 6 p.m.
