Two workers were taken to hospital with injuries following a workplace explosion this week, officials say.
Sarnia Fire Rescue Services said in a news release that just before 5 p.m. on Tuesday, crews responded to a report of an explosion at a workplace in the 200 block of Henry Drive.
Firefighters from three stations responded, along with Sarnia Police Services and Lambton EMS.
“Upon arrival SFRS crews and Lambton EMS provided patient care for two workers who were injured and were then transported to Bluewater Health,” officials stated.
“Due to the nature of this incident the Ministry of Labour and the Ontario Fire Marshals Office have been notified and are taking over the investigation.”
