Woods in running for CCMA award

A Sarnia musician will find out Sunday if he is the winner of a Canadian Country Music Association award. Donovan Woods is nominated for Songwriter of the Year for having co-written the hit song Chills by the James Barker Band.

Donovan Woods is nominated for Songwriter of the Year for having co-written the hit song Chills by the James Barker Band.

The singer-songwriter, who was born and grew up in Sarnia, has recorded four albums and is a past winner of the English Songwriter of the Year Award at the Canadian Folk Music Awards.

This year’s CCMA Awards will air Sunday from Saskatoon on CBC.
