A number of winning projects were recognized at the Lambton County Science Fair over the weekend.
The event, held at Lambton College’s new gymnasium for the first time, featured 38 projects, about the same as last year said committee member Peter Smith.

“While we were hoping for an uptick, we always understood that it would take us several years to rebuild after Covid,” he said of the event, open to Lambton County students in Grades 3 to 12. Projects are judged under four age categories: exhibition (Grades 3-5); junior (6-8); intermediate (9/10); and senior (11/12).
The event marked its 50th year as a registered charity, and 49th fair — it was cancelled in 2020.
Major award winners included:
Best in Fair – Cynthia Rayson for “Bioremediation to the Rescue”.
Best Senior – Safia Deol for “The IncrediGels: Multifaceted Biopolymers for Dental Routines”
