Film

TUESDAY, SEPT. 27

Meet the Candidates

Grace United Church hosts an informal Meet & Greet with local municipal election candidates from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at 990 Cathcart Blvd., Sarnia. Event is free and open to the public.

Dance lessons

Sarnia Ballroom Dancing Club offers 10-weeks of dance lessons beginning the week of Sept. 27. Four different classes offered: Beginner Foxtrot and Samba (Tues. 7:30-8:30 p.m.); Beginner Salsa (Tues. 8:30-9:30 p.m.); Beginner Cha Cha & Quickstep (Wed. 7:30-8:30 p.m.); Intermediate Cha Cha & Quickstep (Wed. 8:30-9:30 p.m.). Meet the Candidates

The Rotary Club of Sarnia is partnering with the Lambton Mall to host a Meet the Candidates event from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Sarnia municipal election candidates will be on hand at tables throughout the mall. Event is free and open to the public.

Tree Planting

Climate Action Sarnia-Lambton and IODE Errol Egremont to host a tree planting event in honour of the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee, 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at Coronation Park, Sarnia. All are welcome. Bring work gloves, shovels strong footwear.

Ride for Refuge A charity ride/walk event to be held at New Horizons Community Church at 3 p.m., Sarnia. Proceeds to Nightlight Sarnia, a drop-in centre at 181 Christina Street. More information at https://rideforrefuge.org/location/sarnia.

Spirit of the Forest Festival

Lakeshore Eco-Network (LEN) hosts a celebration of trees and forests from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. at Lambton Heritage Museum, Grand Bend. Museum admission is free during this event in support of this initiative.

Hymn Sing
