MONDAY, NOV. 14

Open Stage

Lawrence House hosts its Open Stage at 7 p.m. Doors open at 6:45 p.m. Musicians, poets, storytellers and writers are invited to perform in a quiet intimate setting. The House piano and guitar are available for performers to use. Audience members who appreciate music and words are welcome to come and enjoy. Kiwanis Meeting - Radon – the invisible threat

The public is invited to attend a meeting with the Kiwanis Club of Sarnia-Lambton Golden K. November is “Radon Awareness Month”. Pam Warkenton is with the non-profit “Take Action on Radon team” and she will discuss why it is important to check every home and building for radon levels, a radioactive gas that kills 3,000 Canadians a year from lung cancer. “Hybrid” meetings (in person or by Zoom) take place at 9:30 a.m. at the Lochiel Kiwanis Community Centre, 180 College Ave. N. Business Showcase

The Chamber of Commerce is excited to announce their Business Showcase is back! Located at DeGroot’s Nurseries between 5 p.m. and 8 p.m. The event is free to the public to come and sample, purchase and speak to Chamber members who will be displaying their goods and services, and if you bring a canned good donation for the Inn of the Good Shepherd, you will receive a draw ticket into the Grand Prize Draw. Synergy 150 Concert

SYNERGY 150 presents “An Old-Fashioned Christmas” at Camlachie United Church at 7 p.m. This 55-voice community choir will present songs from favourite Christmas movies and shows along with traditional carols, with audience participation invited. After the concert, everyone is invited to stroll through the Christmas Village with light refreshment in hand, where baked goods, crafts and treasures will be on sale, and children can decorate their own gingerbread cookie or listen to a story by the Christmas tree. Holiday Open House

Oil Museum of Canada, National Historic Site will be hosting their annual Holiday Open House from 12 p.m. to 3 p.m. This family-friendly event includes a self-guided tour of the renovated museum, holiday crafts, snacks, warm apple cider tasting, and a visit with Santa.
