Below is a partial line-up of activities, visual arts and live music scheduled for the First Friday cultural walkabout Oct. 5 in downtown Sarnia.

Many shops other than those listed below are open till 9 p.m.

Parking is free downtown after 6 p.m. on the street, in parking lots and at Bayside Centre.

JUDITH & NORMAN ALIX ART GALLERY - 147 Lochiel St – 6 p.m. -9 p.m. - Current exhibits: John Kissick: The Boom Bits until Oct. 14 - Jaime Angelopoulis until Oct. 14 - Full Spectrum until Nov. 25. Draw for free membership.

COFFEE CULTURE - 130 Lochiel St. - 7:30 to 9:30 p.m. - Live music.

ARTOPIA GALLERY & FRAMING - 188 Christina St N. – 6 p.m. - 9 p.m. - “Put A Bird on It" Fundraiser. Buy an original 8 X 10 canvas with donation to Bluewater Centre for Raptor Rehabilitation. All proceeds for the Birds. Over 100 canvases. Thanks to all participating artists.

THEMPTATIONS - Hemp Goods and Culture Shops - 180 Christina St. N. - open until 9 p.m. –Visit with the artist of the month.

ZZAS PIZZA BISTRO - 170 Christina St N – 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. - Live music with Mike Blackmore.

W. LAWTON GALLERY, behind the Imperial Theatre Box Office by The Capitol Bar -168 Christina St. N – 4 p.m. - 7 p.m. – Showing expansive, ethereal mixed media painting by Peg Kivi. Meet the artist.

CHEEKY MONKEY - 130 Christina St. N – 7 p.m. -9p.m. - Eclectic live music with Missy Burgess & Dwayne Cloes - Art Show & Sale 'Exhibit' by Bill Walters. 38th Sarnia Pathfinders selling cookies.

VANILLA BEAN - 138 Cromwell St. – 6 p.m.- 9 p.m. - Live entertainment with Gary Wilkins & George Ayers.

SILHOUETTES - 125 Christina St. N – 7 p.m.- 9 p.m. "Live Mannequins in the Windows" with breast cancer survivors modeling fashions.

COME UNITY - 123 Christina St. N. - 7 p.m. -9 p.m. Featuring pebble art by local artist Becky Mac Robbie.

COWBOYS & INDIANS - 121 Christina St. N - Open until 9 p.m. - Beadwork demonstration by Anishinaabekwe artist Tawny Daws.

REFINED FOOL - 137 Davis St - Blake Barr exhibiting artwork during month of October.

THE LAWRENCE HOUSE CENTRE FOR THE ARTS - 127 Christina St. S. – 6 p.m.- 9 p.m. - “Stories Behind the Glass,” local scenes and rural landscape watercolours by Mark McLean. Plus “Focus on Abilities” art from seasonal horticultural therapy classes at Smith Homestead in partnership with Ruth’s Place. Music by pianist Doug Hacking.

ONE TOOTH - 155 Front St N – 7 p.m. -9 p.m. - It's a thankful party with live music by Demi Krall.
