In an effort to monitor West Nile virus the public is encouraged to report all dead birds to Lambton Public Health.
In some cases, adult crows and blue jays dead for less than 24 hours may be considered for testing.
Using gloves, double-bag the bird in plastic and report it.
Those not considered for testing should be placed in an outdoor garbage can for disposal.
If a dead crow or blue jay is to be tested, staff from Lambton Public Health will pick it up.
