The border at the Blue Water Bridge will remain closed to non-essential travel for another month, officials said last week.

The decision by U.S. and Canadian officials to close the border until at least Sept. 21 comes as both countries continue to fight the spread of COVID-19.

The border closure, which was scheduled to expire on Aug. 21, was first introduced in March and extended each month since.
