UPDATE: Two more cases; three resolved

Two more people have contracted COVID-19, bringing the total number infected so far to 321, according to the latest numbers from Lambton Public Health, Saturday.

Three more people in Sarnia-Lambton have recovered from the virus, lowering the number of active cases to 16.

Cases are considered resolved when they are 14 days past symptom onset date, do not have a fever and COVID symptoms are improving or absent, according to the health unit.

Lambton Public Health follows up daily with cases and contacts throughout their 14-day isolation period.

Locally, a total of 18,680 tests results have been processed since the pandemic began, and 25 people have died.

Bluewater Health has zero COVID-19 patients today, and no one has been treated at the hospital or tested positive for the virus there since mid-June.

Ontario logged a total of 88 COVID-19 cases Friday, marking the fifth consecutive day with fewer than 100 cases.

Public health safety measures include staying home when sick, practicing physical distancing with others outside your social circle, use good hand hygiene, and wearing a mask if required or if physical distancing is not possible.
