Officials are now reporting 79 cases of COVID-19 in Sarnia-Lambton, and an 8th death, as of Sunday morning.
That’s up from 68 cases and seven deaths reported Saturday.
According to the daily update from Lambton Public Health, four of the deaths include residents of Landmark Village Seniors’ Home, where an outbreak of the virus has infected nine residents and six staff.
The Bluewater Health COVID-19 update page listed 8 deaths, Sunday morning.
Currently, 32 people with confirmed COVID-19 are being treated at Bluewater Health, while an additional 9 patients (presumed to have the virus) are awaiting test results. Thirty-six people with the virus have been asked to self-isolate at home, while three people are listed as recovered.
To date, 380 local tests have been conducted, with 316 negative and 82 pending.
