Sarnia-Lambton’s total Covid-19 case count has remained steady at 319 since Monday night’s update from Lambton Public Health.

Six more people in Sarnia-Lambton have recovered from the virus, lowering the number of active cases to 17, while nearly 18,500 tests results have been processed since the pandemic began.

The active case count had been as low as 2 but began rising again three weeks ago. Last Friday, 27 people were infected and self-isolating with the virus.

Bluewater Health has zero COVID-19 patients today, and no one has been treated at the hospital or tested positive for the virus there since mid-June.

Public health safety measures include staying home when sick, practicing physical distancing with others outside your social circle, use good hand hygiene, and wearing a mask if required or if physical distancing is not possible.

Ontario logged a total of 88 COVID-19 cases Friday, marking the fifth consecutive day with fewer than 100 cases.
