The United Way of Sarnia-Lambton has officially hit the half-way mark of the 2022 campaign, with $825,000 donated to the annual fundraising drive to date.

That includes the completion of Industrial campaigns from Pembina, INEOS Styrolution and others. Retiree donations continue to be mailed to the United Way and online at www.theunitedway.on.ca

"Thanks to the generosity of individuals, corporations, local businesses and volunteers, United Way has achieved 50 percent of its $1.65 million dollar campaign goal," said Campaign Chair Vicky Ducharme. "We're grateful to have reached the 50% mark, but we still have work to do."

Employees and retirees of matching companies are reminded that the deadline to have their donation matched is quickly approaching. The corporate match deadline for this year for many companies is December 1st and we need your help to make our 2022 campaign a success.

Every dollar donated is put to work locally helping those who need it the most. "These are trying times. Inflation is impacting young families and seniors in our community," said Ducharme. Please support the most vulnerable in Lambton County and continue to donate to United Way.

Donations can be made at the United Way office, 1362 Lambton Mall Road, online at www.theunitedway.on.ca, or by calling 519-336-5452.
