Chris Hadfield’s bestselling book An Astronaut’s Guide to Life on Earth is being turned into a family comedy on the U.S. network ABC, the Globe and Mail reports.
The proposed series will focus on a post-mission astronaut readjusting to life on earth.
The Sarnia-born Hadfield will serve as a consulting producer on sitcom, which has not yet had casting for actors and is still untitled.
Hadfield became a global celebrity in 2013 by using social media while commanding the International Space Station to share his videos and musical performances from space.
His second book, You Are Here: Around the World in 92 Minutes, is scheduled for release in October.
