The ‘Out of this World’ show at the Imperial Theatre on April 28 will feature performances by Canadian trumpeter Aaron Hodgson under the direction of Maestro Douglas Bianchi.

Among the cinematic numbers on tap are Richard Strauss’ theme from 2001: A Space Odyssey; Jerry Goldsmith’s theme from Star Trek and Judy Garland’s signature Over the Rainbow by Harold Arlen, which won the Academy Award for Best Song in 1938.

Hodgson is one of Canada’s top trumpeters and been praised for his “exquisite musicianship and assured composure” by the international Trumpet Guild.

Hodgson has won various competitions, been broadcast nationally as a soloist on CBC Radio and been a concerto soloist with L’ Orchestre de la Francophonie at Canada’s National Arts Centre.
