Sarnia’s Michael Marinaro and pairs partner Kirsten Moore-Towers finished sixth at the ISU World Figure Skating Championships in Stockholm, Sweden on March 25, tying their best career finish at the Worlds.
The two-time Canadian champions bounced back from a shaky short program with an exceptional free program to vault from 10th to sixth.
“We’re definitely proud of the skate today, considering the circumstances,” Marinaro said. The pair has finished in the top eight in all four trips to the World Championships.
