Paige Vrolyk and Dan Luciani are this year’s Stefanko Award winners.

The awards are presented annually to one male and one female graduating high school student in Lambton County. The winners are recognized for academic and athletic excellence, leadership and discipline.

Vrolyk, 18, competed in volleyball, cross country and track and field for St. Patrick’s High School, and won a bronze medal in triple jump at the all-Ontario high school championships in 2017.

Luciani, 17, played football, basketball and soccer, and was Male Athlete of the Year throughout his secondary school career at Northern Collegiate.

Award founder and London lawyer Steve Stefanko made the presentations at the Lambton Kent District School Board offices last week.

Vrolyk will study science at McMaster and Luciani mechanical engineering at the University of Guelph this fall.
