The 22nd annual Lambton Ford Teddy Bear Toss returns Dec. 6, when fans can hurl plush toys to the ice after the Sarnia Sting score their first goal against the Saginaw Spirit at Progressive Auto Sales Arena.

Pictured here at last week’s launch are, from left, Sting captain Ryan McGregor, Salvation Army Lt. Brad Webster, Lambton Ford president Rob Ravensburg, and Sting forwards Brayden Guy and Jamieson Rees.

Some 63,250 toys have been thrown to the ice and redistributed to community charities since 1997. The Salvation Army alone will hand deliver up to 2,000 teddies as well as food and other essentials this Christmas, Webster said.

“This is the reason we do what we do.”
