The Sarnia Sting moved into sole possession of first place in the OHL’s West Division with a thrilling 2-1 victory over their arch nemesis the London Knights on Saturday.

Travis Konecny and Matt Mistele notched goals and Charlie Graham made 20 saves before a capacity crowd at the Sarnia Sports and Entertainment Centre.

The victory ended the surging Sting’s 17-game drought against the Knights, knocking off their Hwy 402 rivals for the first time since March 8, 2013.

The win also came on Do It For Daron Night, with the club raising money for the Royal’s Foundation for Mental Health.
