The City of Sarnia is kicking off the new year by swinging open the doors at the Strangway Centre, providing a chance to learn more about the City’s diverse programming lineup.

For the first time since early 2020 the centre will host an in-person open house, inviting current and prospective recreation program participants to come out, preview programs, and receive some in-depth information on current recreation programs.

“There’s so much being offered in terms of recreation programming that we want to share, and this is another opportunity to do so, especially for those individuals who prefer to engage face to face, ask questions and meet the instructors,” said Recreation Superintendent Shelley Kern.

A particular focus will be placed on drop-in, low-cost programming offered at the centre.

Information on those programs, old favourites, and new offerings will be available, with the opportunity to learn more directly from the instructors who deliver programs.

The open house will run from 9:30 a.m. to noon on Jan. 7, 2023.
