The Sarnia Sting set a franchise record for wins on Sunday by mounting a ferocious comeback to down the Owen Sound Attack 5-4 in overtime.
Down 3-0 at the end of the second period, Jordan Ernst tied it with 48 seconds to go and Jordan Kyrou potted the winner 17 seconds into overtime to give the Sting 43 wins on the season.
Kyrou’s team-leading 36th goal moved him into a first place tied OHL scoring race with 105 points, the same as Aaron Luchuk of the Barrie Colts.
