Jamieson Rees was one of 46 players invited to the camp, which runs from Nov. 16 to Dec. 13 in Red Deer, Alta.

Five goalies, 15 defencemen and 26 forwards are competing for spots on the team representing Canada at the 2021 IIHF World Junior Championship, scheduled to start Dec. 25 in Edmonton.

Rees won gold with Canada at the 2018 Hlinka Gretzky Tournament. The Hamilton native had 18 goals in 39 games with Sarnia last season.

He was selected in the second round, 44th overall, in the 2019 NHL entry draft by the Carolina Hurricanes.
