The Sting is dipping its toes in uncharted waters this season.

The team will host nine Wednesday games, including the season opener against the Memorial Cup champion London Knights on Wednesday, Sept. 21.

In addition, it will play 11 home games on Friday, six each on Saturday and Sunday and one each on Thursday and Monday, with the latter being the annual Family Day contest on Feb. 20.

Sunday games this season will start at 2:05 pm.

The Sting will raise its Western Conference banner on Friday, Sept. 23 against the Owen Sound Attack.

The annual Teddy Bear Toss game is set for Dec. 4 against the Niagara IceDogs.

Meanwhile, the Sting has signed 17-year-old Louis Latta to a contract. The younger brother of former Sting captain Nick Latta had 16 goals and 30 points in 42 games in the German Development League last season.

He was a second round pick in the 2015 CHL import draft.
