The Sarnia Sting took a 2-0 series lead over the Guelph Storm in the first round of the Ontario Hockey League’s (OHL) Western Conference Quarter-Final series, Sunday afternoon.
Nashville Predators prospect Nolan Burke scored the overtime winner in a thrilling 5-4 final in front of a sold-out crowd at the Progressive Auto Sales Arena, after Marko Sikic tied the game at 4-4 in the final two minutes of the third period.
Luca Del Bel Belluz scored twice and was named first star of the game, which also saw a goal from Zach Filak.
The Sting took game one of the best-of-seven series, with a 5-0 shutout win in Friday’s playoff opener.
Game three scheduled is scheduled for Tuesday night at the Sleeman Centre in Guelph, at 7 p.m.
