A local boy has signed with the Sarnia Sting.
Defenceman Franco Sproviero was the 141st pick in the OHL priority selection, but is having a strong rookie season with the Junior “B” Lambton Shores Predators, potting seven goals and 24 assists for 31 points in 32 games.
Last week, the Sarnia native signed a standard player contract with the Sting, two weeks after playing his first OHL game.
General manager Nick Sinclair said Sproviero will add to the team’s overall depth on the blue line.
