The Sarnia Sting have added some international flair to the lineup by selecting Swedish centreman Hugo Leufvenius, 22nd overall, in the 2017 CHL Import Draft.
The Stockholm native spent last season in the Swedish SuperElit League and amassed 19 points in 42 games.
At 6’3” and 218 lb., Leufvenius will bring considerable size to the Sting offence.
The new prospect is the third Swede Sarnia has drafted in recent memory.
Ludvig Rensfeldt was selected in 2011 and Ted Brithen two years earlier.
